Good 2 Great

Good 2 Great is a business management consultancy based company in Bridgnorth who invited me to their offices to photograph some new company headshots and to take a few pictures for their marketing of how they operate behind the scenes.

Since Good 2 Great is made up of such a large number of industry experts (and therefore busy people), we shot the session on one of their meeting days when most of the team would be in the office, using my portable light set-up for the headshots during a short break between two meetings. I then popped into a couple of the sessions to grab a few snaps of them in action before spending a little longer back in the office with the guys there, where I could grab a few candid snaps without getting under anybody's feet.

Being able to work quickly and discreetly within the available space is essential for sessions such as these, to be able to get the required photographs without disrupting a real-life work day.

As a follow up to our initial product only session for The Cloud Nine Company, this time Emma brought along the gorgeous Marie-Claire (and bump!) to 'model' the pregnancy pillows for their product packaging. These short and sweet mini product photoshoots are great for businesses with a small amount of items to be photographed, providing a selection of professional shots of your websites and social media without breaking the bank.

Carding Mill Valley

After what feels like forever, the sun came out for long enough for us to take a little family drive up to The Long Mynd and take a walk through Carding Mill Valley. There was still a little snow on the hills, but there was no way we'd make it that high anyway so we packed a picnic and successfully dodged the rain for long enough to eat it.

March Meet The Maker

11

It's been rather quiet on the blog this month as I've been participating in March Meet the Maker over on my Instagram page.
It's been nice to have a change of style for a few weeks and having an opportunity to share images from my archives that had somehow been lost in the shuffle.
I've got plenty of new sessions to share with you so make sure to head back next week to see the latest!

Llandudno

Llandudno Feb 2018 (109)Llandudno Feb 2018 (109)

We spent the night in Llandudno, where I managed to find the most delicious vegan Shepherd's Pie at a pub in the town called The Cottage Loaf.     (Do you know how long it's been since I've eaten cottage pie? And there was so much of it I couldn't even made room for dessert which is saying a lot).

Our hotel was right on the promenade with a gorgeous views of the sea, the mountains and the pretty pastel Victorian buildings lined up along the seafront. We caught the sunset, and I got up early (because mom brain is forever, even if your kid isn't around) and caught the sunrise on the pebble beach before taking the Marine Drive around the Great Orne.

It was a perfect little break, in such a wonderful spot only a couple of hours drive from where we live. I can't wait to go back.

Conwy Castle

We started the half term break with a little trip to North Wales, stopping by at Conwy Castle on Saturday to explore the architecture and enjoy the sunshine. I'd visited the castle before as a child, but had no memory of it being such an impressive structure surrounded by such breathtaking landscapes.

I was in my element searching out spots to take photos, and Chris in his admiring the medieval stonemasonry.
Couldn't find the dungeon or torture chamber though.
Boo.

Krafty Gifts Uk Session 6

KraftyGiftsUk Session 6 HighRes (96)KraftyGiftsUk Session 6 HighRes (96)

Time for round 6 with Krafty Gifts Uk photographing unprinted cushions ready to advertise a new set of designs which will be personalised and sublimated onto the cushion covers for each customer order. This time we shot a styled session and as always, Jessie brought her amazing prop arranging skills to style the cushions for the various designs and we even managed to sneak in a few with our lovely set pet for the day, Maybel (as if she was going to get away with not posing for us with a face like that!)

022018kguk6022018kguk6 HEad over to my Instagram for a sneak peek of a new product that will be hitting the Krafty Gifts e-stores soon. I'm ridiculously excited about it and can't wait to order mine :D

Val B's Wax Jewellery Session 2

Val B's Wax LowRes (90)Val B's Wax LowRes (90)

For the second product photoshoot with Val B's Wax, we went for classic, sharp shots of each piece in the collection to really let the jewellery design and quality take the stage and to allow the colour of the pendants pop with nothing to distract from them. This time I worked using my home studio set-up, with the items being delivered to me to be photographed and then collected later in the day.

IMG_3018IMG_3018

The year started with my 30th birthday which was lovely, quiet and relaxed just like I like, while the rest of the month has been an incredibly busy one for work, just like I like. It's been a great January and I can only hope the rest of 2018 is just as kind.
