Latest work for Krafty Gifts UK updating their huge catalogue of products with images for their latest listings. As always with these sessions we shoot the items unprinted, before the numerous available designs are added by the Krafty Gifts UK creative team in post. This means that all areas of the products which are to be superimposed onto have to be clean, clear and correctly exposed so that the final image looks as accurate and seamless as possible.
For this session we worked in some coloured backgrounds as well as styled ones with props which was a fun way to introduce extra elements to the images and help them to stand out on third party selling platforms such as Ebay and Amazon.

Brunch In Brum offer delicious handmade breakfasts and lunches
made using locally sourced ingredients from their space outside of The Axis in Birmingham City Centre.
I was invited along to shoot some of their menu to create some food photography for their website and social media in time for the launch of their Starbucks Frappe range.

For my second session shooting website content for Shropshire Macarons we continued with the dark, luxury theme which really made the colourful macarons pop against the background and created a stronger sense of brand identity throughout the images which looks great on the final website design.
Using ingredients as props is a great way to add extra interest without distracting from the hero item, and bringing along something as simple as a couple of flowers piece of ribbon can provide plenty of versatile options for incorporating brand colours to your promotional imagery.

With a brand new selection of Spring themed products rolling out ready for Easter Pawfect Delights sent over some of their newest homemade, vegan dog treats for me to shoot before being listed in their online store.
They also required a new set of images to add a new flavour to their existing ranges of biscuits and training treats using the same style as those we'd photographed previously along with a new design of beautifully painted edible alphabet treats to give as an adorable personalised gift for your Good Girls and Boys.
Mini sessions are a great, cost effective way to update your range with new products without the need for a full half or full day photoshoot and I have recently added a new option for styled mini shoots within my updated price list.
If you'd like a copy of the latest price guide please feel free to get in touch!

So excited to finally share the first part of my shoot back in January with the fabulous Shropshire Macarons for the launch of their new website.

Working with small objects like jewellery can be tricky, particularly when it comes to styling. Using props that might dwarf the piece, or make it look disproportionately large isn't a helpful illusion to create when designing an image for an online shop where customers don't have the opportunity to see the item in real life, so I always need to be mindful of striking a balance between fitting the brief, enhancing the product and accuracy.
Working with Surf & Scout is always a fun session, Clare has already designed for herself a consistent and beautiful aesthetic for her brand, using natural props to reflect the natural beauty of her jewellery, so it's something of a luxury to be able to spend my time finding ways to highlight that natural beauty using various lighting set ups, to catch the light reflected on a facet of raw cut amethyst or to bring out the amber tones in a piece of tigers eye or the translucency of the rose quartz.

Following on from our previous Christmas themed shoot, I had the pleasure of creating some food/product imagery of the delicious Valentines Day afternoon teas by Chouxlicious. Their luxury afternoon teas are created with some of Shropshires finest brands and are available for national delivery direct to your door.

Pawfect Delights recently did a bit of a branding and packaging overhaul, which meant they were in need of a new set of product images to show off their new packaging design. We also added in some more styled imagery featuring ingredients for each of the dog treat flavours, some flat lays and I even added in a little stop motion because I was recently asked if I offered this and I didn't at the time so wanted to test drive one. I think it worked out really nicely!

For my 3rd session with Marianne at the end of last year we took a walk around my own neck of the woods for some extra promotional/branding portraits to coincide with the launch of her brand new novel The Doors Of Riverdell. I love working with Marianne partly because she's so gorgeous and therefore incredibly easy to photograph, but also because she's just got one of those personalities that's just addictive and now that I've finally got my hands on a copy of her book, it's a wonderful experience to get to escape into and wander through a world so intricately and fantastically crafted, by someone with such a unique view of the world.

For as long as I've photographed weddings I hoped I'd one day be able to attend one on Halloween and my wish was finally granted by Jonathan & Marianne who were married at Wellington registry office during that brief window between lockdowns in an intimate ceremony with a handful of friends and relatives before heading into Ironbridge for portraits by the river and then onto the Malthouse for a sit down meal.
It was a fabulous example of what have become typical of those weddings that have still gone ahead during such restrictive times, it was fun, laid back and of course, live streamed... But with spooky decor, obviously.
