The Cloud Nine Company are a Shropshire based business, creating multi-use pregnancy pillows and who headed into the studio back in October for for a mini e-commerce session, to get a few pictures for their website.
Dog and Collar - 'Drop Off' Sessions
From a recent 'drop-off' session with Dog And Collar, shooting e-commerce imagery of their regally inspired pet accessories.
The shoot involved getting shots of each of the collars and leads in all of the available fabrics and then various colour swatches for each of the fabrics along with other add-ons such as engraved collar clips and tags. Because the session was very minimalist in terms of styling, but very detailed in terms of the amount of items that needed to be photographed in many different configurations, the products were dropped off at my home studio along with a detailed outline of all of the shots required, and then collected later on in the day allowing me to provide a much longer session and a wider selection of images than I usually would when working on location and meant that the client could get back to doing what they do best without needing to take time out of their work day.
When shooting for online sellers, many find it useful to have a wide variety of images of each item, including close-ups to show the materials and quality, wide shots for scale and over-all shape and then all of the different colours, fabrics, sizes, etc so that when customers are viewing the items in the e-store, they can scroll through and see all of the choices available.

BridgnorthChristmas
I recently got in touch with LoveBridgnorth about their #BridgnorthChristmas social media campaign designed to promote our lovely town and its independent stores over the holiday season. Now while I'm obviously not a retailer myself, I work with lots of them, and think it's so incredibly important to support small businesses however we can if we want to see them flourish. So I offered to volunteer my photography skills to take pictures of some of the amazing Christmas Window Displays on the highstreet and show off some of the fabulous businesses that Bridgnorth has to offer.
That's Nice Interiors Autumn/Winter 2017 Part IV
This easily has to be one of my favourite image sets from That's Nice so far! Their christmas decor is just gorgeous, and as with all of their items, their Christmas range is classic and minimal enough that much of it, wouldn't even need to be taken down after the holidays are over. Krafty Gifts Christimas 2017
Carrying on with the festive vibes, I recently got to work with Krafty Gifts UK again, to photograph their Christmas range of customised gift items. As always, we shot the products unprinted for the KGUK team to be able to add the designs in post production, but you can head over to their Etsy and see all of the available designs there and maybe buy a santa sack or two or three, depending how many kids (or Dogs!!!) you have.
That's Nice Interiors Autumn/Winter Part III
Every business has its own unique aesthetic and it's really important that images shot for retailers are consistant with that aesthetic across the various platforms they will be used on, while keeping within the constraints presented by each platform and while still displaying the products in a way that makes them as true to life to customers as possible to depict all of the quality and detail that an online shopper wouldn't be able to experience first hand.
I love working closely with clients to bring their own store's personal style into their images, and That Nice Interiors is one of the most fun and challenging to do this with. With a monochrome colour pallet and a preference for minimalism, we rely on texture, composition, styling and lighting choices to make images something more than basic ecomms shots, keep them up to date with seasonal trends, and to make each set of images different than the last.

Halloween Portrait
I just so happen to know a make up artist who is into Halloween as much as I am, and so naturally we decided that it was only sensible to get together for a little collab, combining our skills and creating something horrific for our favourite time of year.
